This song is called: Campo Testaccio. It 'a song that recalls the exploits of the first team. Before the Olympic Stadium as roma 1927 played, from 1929 to 1941, in the Campo Testaccio, which takes its name from the Testaccio area Romanist doc.
Testaccio is an artificial hill with a vaguely triangular base, located on the left bank of the Tiber, in the south - east of Rome. About 35 m high, has a perimeter of 1490 m and a total area that is around 2200 square meters.
This is a small mountain, but it was once called the largest of the seven artificial hills of Rome: Augustus, Cenci, Citorio, Jordan, Savelli, Dry.
Its current name derives from a Latin word "head" that means crock: it has its origin in the regular discharge of fragments of broken jars, mostly olive oil. Hence the popular name of Monte dei Cocci.
For the Romans of the period of Cervantes, the Testaccio was a landfill where it had been thrown jugs, who came to Rome with various products as a tribute paid by all the provinces of the Roman Empire.
This landfill, therefore, was considered a symbol of pride and power of ancient Rome.
It is probably for this reason that the Mount has been preserved over the centuries: the mountain that, according to the known record, belonged to the Roman people who strenuously defended this prerogative to the point of providing prison terms for those who were found collecting shards from the hill
Difficult to translate because it is sung half in Roman dialect: is the most 'ancient song sung in Italian stadiums.
